Henrique de Mendonça Belo
Education
Henrique de Mendonça Belo graduated with a Law Degree from Universidade Europeia in 2026. During his studies, he developed a particular interest in Tax Law, with a special focus on indirect taxation and international tax matters.
He is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Tax Law at the Portuguese Catholic University (Universidade Católica Portuguesa), further deepening his expertise in one of the most dynamic and demanding areas of law. In parallel, he is also attending the Advanced Postgraduate Programme in VAT at IDEFF, strengthening his specialisation in indirect taxation.
Seeking to combine academic training with practical experience, Henrique is currently undertaking an internship at BELIM, where he continues to develop his technical knowledge and practical skills in the field of taxation.
Professional background
Henrique has been developing practical experience through internships at law firms, with a particular interest in Tax Law and Public Law.
He began his professional journey with internships at JLAdvogados Lawyers RL and BQ Advogadas, where he gained his first exposure to legal practice in a professional environment. He later joined JPAB – José Pedro Aguiar-Branco Advogados, where he worked on Public Law and Tax Law matters.
He is currently an intern at BELIM, combining professional practice with his Master’s studies in Tax Law at the Portuguese Catholic University.
Personal details
Outside his professional activities, Henrique has a keen interest in sports, particularly tennis, which he follows closely. He also enjoys travelling and discovering new cultures, valuing exposure to different perspectives and ways of thinking. In addition, he is a gastronomy enthusiast who enjoys exploring new restaurants and diverse culinary experiences.
