Catarina Belim participates in the Global Legal Customs Association Conference 2024

Catarina Belim will attend the 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗚𝗟𝗖𝗔) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰, to be held in Dubai on February 8 and organised by GLCA in association with Aurifer Middle East Tax.

Catarina Belim was the GLCA member responsible for planning and organising panel 1 of the conference on EU Customs Reform.

𝗚𝗹𝗼𝗯𝗮𝗹 𝗟𝗲𝗴𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝘀 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 (𝗚𝗟𝗖𝗔) 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟰 will feature a hybrid (in-person and online) scientific session which will consist of six panels covering the major developments and latest trends in the global customs and international trade landscape. The broad range of topics covered during the scientific session include:

✔ EU customs reform

✔ Customs compliance in UAE free zone

✔ International trade sanctions

✔ The impact of bans on UAE banks for trade with Russia

Conference attendants will also have the opportunity to hear about business experiences in relation to the use of new technologies for customs clearance, track and trace, and compliance.
