BREXIT – End of the transition period – guidelines issued by the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authorities

The Brexit transition period ends on 31.12.2020 and there are many questions on the formalities and procedures to be implemented, especially for goods in transit.

The Portuguese Tax and Customs Authorities published guidelines covering practical matters arising from the end of the transition period connected with:

• EORI number,
• transit authorizations;
• exemptions from customs duties;
• import and export arrangements including special regimes.
